MUTALA SCHOOL = BIG FAMILY

If I have to define this semester with a word, I would choose FAMILY.

MUTALAN KOULU, the place that means home in every sense, the place where everything is fine and the place where you can find a lot of love.

I arrived at Mutala school in February and I was here until May. And I have to say that in these months I grew and learned more than in my whole bachelor's, and not only about learning, also about love, kind words and interpersonal relations.

It is true that it can be hard, at some points, to do an internship in a foreign country. But it is also true that each hug, each smile, and each positive comment make this worth it a lot.

I'm really grateful to all the students and the teachers of this school. Thanks to you I have become a new person, more confident and extrovert. All of you are my family in Joensuu and you have made me spend very funny and happy moments this semester.

Thank you to the sixth and fifth graders for becoming my favorite little teenagers, to the first and second graders for welcoming me every morning with open hands to hug me, without even knowing English. And to the third and fourth graders because you have taught me that little kids can do amazing projects.

And finally, thanks to all the teachers for your words of appreciation for my work here and especially to Hanna Kaisa.
